The Infamous Cocktail Sausage

While routing around looking for another fresh post to put up, the lead went dead when I got this great response:

The cocktail sausages I think were just mini-hotdogs heated up in bbq sauce (I guess she must have made the sauce from scratch though…I dont remember there being alot of bbq sauce at *Migros?).               *Swiss Supermarket

I don’t think it would stand the test of time.

1. it was the 90’s, food expectations were a bit lower
2. we were teenagers
3. we were most likely stoned

Yet another life affirming reality check, that your aging and getting a little mouldy.

Those were gourmet little sauages except for when they were sliced hotdogs. (Okay, the idea was from the sixties. Gourmands, we were not!) The BBQ sauce was homemade ffrom a family recipe involving lots of kechup, yellow mustard and brown sugar. Served many, especially voracious teenagers. Bet you miss them.

I do, and if you want to give up a family secret, I would love to try make the bbq sauce.
